Today we have been teaching Grade 4 children at Stanley Primary School. This class of 53 children is bigger than both of our Year 5 classes put together! We really enjoyed this experience, the children were very excited and showed great independence and resilience with the problem solving activity Miss Oxley provided.

We also held a meeting with the Junior Leadership Team to discuss the progress they had made with their 2017 plans. We followed this up with new plans for 2018 which included holding another fundraising event to raise money for a school hall, maintaining the environment of the school, planting an orchard in the school grounds, holding elections for the new Junior Leadership Team and providing a variety of food for the children who board.

Finally we helped the chess team access an online chess website where they could play against each other on the computer. The children were extremely excited with this new idea and thoroughly enjoyed competing against other team members. They are going to continue this during their games time at the end of the school day.
